We had tables set with floral designs for the four seasons as well as lots of palm trees and fountains and giftware.

In the weddings area of our display the St Louis Best Bridal folks hosted a “cake dive” by future “grooms” on Sunday afternoon.

The McArthur’s Bakery cake had surprises baked into it – diamond rings that opened up to reveal the prize won – Walter Knoll gave away a $250 gift card, and there were prizes from photographers, and other related “wedding” theme businesses.  I had never been to a “cake dive” before and was quite surprised to see the fellows on their hands and knees eating like dogs to find a diamond ring.

I think the guys had a good time and they all won nice prizes.

One of the scheduled features by Walter Knoll Florist at the show was a designer competition on Saturday evening.  The floral arrangements the designers made for the competition were auctioned off on Sunday afternoon with all proceeds going to Nurses for Newborns Foundation.  Our celebrity emcee was a NO-Show ( I won’t mention his name!) but Chuck Knoll did a wonderful job as auctioneer and the total isn’t tallied yet, but I believe we collected a nice amount for the NFBF organization.  Congratulations to the lucky bidders!  Here are a few of the items won.
