The Most Beautiful Roses For Valentine’s Day

Here at Walter Knoll Florist, we're huge fans of classic red roses for Valentine's Day. There's nothing more romantic than a ruby red rose, with its seemingly endless layers of petals and showy green stems rocketing upward. We all decided a long time ago that this would be February 14th's signature flower, and for good reason. The impression a vase of a dozen or two dozen roses gives is one of deep, abiding love. Pretty Purple Flowers Inspired By Pantone’s Color Of The Year

When's the last time you added some purple florals to your design scheme? If the answer is never, than we here at Walter Knoll Florist think it's the perfect time to start. After all, color company Pantone recently revealed their choice for 2018 Color of the Year to be Ultra Violet, an intriguing, blue-based purple. The color is mystical, majestic and meditative - not exactly a trio of words you'd think of when it comes to inspiring your space's style, but trust us, it's a good look. Bouquets For Your Besties

Have you heard of Galentine's Day? If not, allow us at Walter Knoll Florist to introduce you to the concept. It first came about in the form of a 2010 episode of Parks and Recreation, when main character Leslie Knope rounded up all her ladies, took them out to lunch, and declared it "Galentines! . . . Only the best day of the year." The day falls on February 13 and is intended to celebrate the love women have for each other, whether that's you getting together with your mom, sister or best friend or planning a girl's night out. You can't go wrong if you keep the focus solely on the friendships and relationships you've built. Read More about Bouquets For Your Besties »

Happy-Making Get Well Flowers

We've long appreciated the healing power of flowers, having used them medicinally for centuries. Their aesthetic beauty aside, when we give flowers to someone who is under the weather, it's like breathing fresh life into their space. The vibrancy of flowers is a gentle reminder that they will recover and at the very least that spring is on the horizon, even as we work our way through cold and flu season. At Walter Knoll Florist, we're committed to connecting people with flowers that will bring them happiness, and we're hoping to make people healthier, too. A Winter Wonderland Of Flowers

What's better than a bowl of freshly-cut flowers sitting smack dab in the middle of your dining table? Just the same, only in winter. We here at Walter Knoll Florist are big believers in having flowers around the house year round, obviously. But we want to make a case for why it's so important to do so especially in the colder months, and precisely because of the colder months. The shorter, colder days means less time outside, enjoying all of the benefits of the green growing things you'll find there. Read More about A Winter Wonderland Of Flowers »

The Floral Trends You Want To Know About For 2018

International Floral Distributors has released its predictions for what will be hot in floral design in 2018, and we here at Walter Knoll Florist are paying attention. Four trends were identified, from "Magnificent Mediterranean" to "Incarnation of Earth's Element" - a bit of a mouthful, but a style that has everything to do with organic minimalism. Two of IFD's trends - "Folk Art Reinvented" and "Positively Posh" - are upbeat, cheerful approaches to working with flowers. They embody a youthful, whimsical spirit.
