Loved by many, Peruvian lilies, also known as Alstroemia, hail from South America, and are named for the Swedish botanist credited for introducing them to Europe, Baron Clas Von Alstroemer.  Reminiscent of mini-lilies, alstro are related to the daffodil and onion families.
